High quality power, low investment
A Ride Through (RT) power module consists of a (1) flywheel, (2) Pony motor, (3) induction coupling and (4) alternator mounted on a solid base frame.
In utility mode the RT system acts as a power conditioner and active filter in combination with the reactor (choke coil), eliminating e.g. spikes and sags from the utility supply. If the utility supply fails, the RT system takes over the supply of power immediately, without any interruption or disturbance. It can provide back-up power for 15 seconds at full load and 30 seconds at half load. With that the system protects against 95% of all power quality problems and can bridge the time to start up an existing diesel generator set.

| Flywheel |
Is constantly running at 2900 rpm. It stores kinetic energy needed to provide ride through time in case utility supply is out of specification or interrupted. In combination with the induction coupling, the flywheel is able to take over the supply of power from the utility without interruption.

| Base frame |
Alternator, induction coupling and flywheel are mounted on a solid base frame that can be split for transport and installation. Vibration dampers under the frame isolate the building from vibrations.

| Pony motor |
Speeds up the flywheel to the constant speed of 2900 rpm

| Reactor (Choke coil) |
Operates in combination with the alternator as an active filter and prevents irregularities in the utility supply from passing through to the load.

| Control system |
The RT system is fully automatic and easy to operate due to its modern controls. Readings and signals are clearly displayed. Remote monitoring software is integrated in the controls and auto call functionality can also be integrated at customer request.
